Portable power supply (Compatible with MightyLite LED worklights)
The Sunsynk™ Pocket Power Station SPPS has similarities to other portable storage devices in its outlook, however underneath its shockproof shell is a totally different device which can provide mains power to 3-4 devices for 5 hours once fully charged. It can be charged by either solar panels, mains power or DC battery power. It delivers 150 watt hour (Wh). This version has one 150WH lithium-ion battery.
The device can be charged by solar power. The battery requires roughly 160 Wh of power to charge. In real terms, that would require a 20 watt solar panel eight hours to charge the battery, or four hours if the solar panel is increased to 40watts. An added feature is that the battery can be charged separately from the Pocket Power Station using a standard USB adapter. Fitted at one end of the device are two charge-ports. Of these, each charge port can charge at a maximum of 2 Amps at 5 Volts in Wh. This means that given the algorithm; 2×5×2 = 20 Watts, then 20 Watts is the maximum charge the current Pocket Power Station can be charged at, using its own internal charger.
When in use, it will take 8 hours for a fully charged Pocket Power Station to completely discharge. Charging can be either via a laptop computer, solar panel or via USB adapter taking power from the mains supply.
The Pocket Power Station is capable of running devices in those environments where mains power is non-existence or being fitted to complement those power systems that might be vulnerable to power-outages when it will cut in and continue to supply electricity. Examples would be powering a television (50w) and a couple of lamps (2 x 20w LED) and a fan (20w) for about 5 hours in an evening in the event there being no mains power.
